As the aroma of zongzi fills the air and dragon boats race across rivers, we at Morteng join in celebrating the Dragon Boat Festival - a time-honored tradition that embodies teamwork, resilience, and cultural heritage.

The Legend of the Dragon Boat Festival
Originating over 2,000 years ago, this festival commemorates Qu Yuan, a patriotic poet who drowned himself in protest of corruption. Villagers raced in boats to save him and threw rice into the river to honor his spirit - giving birth to today's dragon boat races and zongzi (sticky rice dumplings). The festival also symbolizes protection and prosperity, marked by traditions like hanging mugwort leaves and wearing colorful sachets.
